The need of PROGRAMMERS to the world and TECHNOLOGY !!
What do you think about the statement “ The world needs more programmers” ? It is may be a fact, but I don’t just wanna accept facts. I need them to be proven. Yes I do. I want to add this ‘ We are going to see this in a totally different perspective ’.
Why do we need more programmers ? Is it just because more and more people are trying to make a profit with computers and technology, do you think this is the real cause? No it is not an exact natural need, it is a phenomenon that we have created as a society and that we feed very quickly, at a rate that we cannot support. That is why we need “more programmers”.
If it is a question of seeing the giant technology companies become even larger, then my thought is definitely wrong . If that motivation comes from researchers need to find solutions for bigger problems like alternative energy sources or environmental problems, then I could accept that we need more programmers. But this is not where this general need for programmers comes from: it comes from big companies and all the hype of startups / entrepreneurs. Nobody thinks about the impact on resources that all of this creates. Digitalization has brought solutions but has also made our lives faster and faster. This places more demands on us instead of fulfilling the science fiction dream of solving all of our production problems so that we can be on constant vacation.
And if we come to technology, despite my grief over the way we use technology, I don’t think there is a turning back. For this reason, I think we must learn to use technology properly, for our own benefit, for example: to protect our rights, privacy and democracy. We should not just get carried away by the people and companies that control it. We must remember that, even if our reality is different now with the internet, we still use the same old business models, only with a different type of product.
We need to be more clever, more alert, more informed.At the same time, we cannot be constantly ready for a revolution. We also need to relax and live our lives … but staying informed is very important. People shouldn’t be lazy when it comes to understanding their devices, understanding their power. With technology, we each have the power to create an environment that is beautiful and inspiring for us, a personal representation of our own strange and magical inner world and it has the power to do many things. It will change the future the way we live .
FINAL WORDS: Technology will continue to evolve at a mush faster pace than most most humans will understand. Even if there are enough programmers in the world, the opportunities that new technology will bring are infinite. There is always something new to learn and that is even more exciting thing!!
